This Waiver and Release is executed on the date specified below by the Participant stated below and the Parent/Guardian stated below.
- In exchange for the right to participate in the events of Corpus Christi Buccaneer Days ("Events"), Participant and Parent/Guardian waive, release, and discharge Las Doñas de la Corte ("LD") and the Kings Men ("KM"), the officers, members, employees, and agents of LD and KM from any and all claims of Participant arising from Participant's participation in Events, including but not limited to claims for injury, death, and damage to propery along with consequential, punitive, and exemplary damages; even though that liability may arise out of negligence, carelessness, gross negligence or intentional act of an officer, member, employee or agent of LD or KM. This Release does not cover liabilities resulting from the sole and willful misconduct of LD, KM, the officers, members, employees, and agents of LD or KM. Participant waives and releases all Participant's rights and claims by way of subrogation and assignment.
- Participant understands and acknowledges that a serious accident can occur during Events in which Participant will be involved, and Participant hereby assumes all risks including injury, death and damage to property arising from Events.
- Further, Participant hereby grants full permission to KM and LD to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of Events, in any legal manner including any publications or social media platform.
- Participant agrees that this waiver and release shall be binding on Participant's personal representatives, heirs, assigns, and next of kin.
- Participant has carefully read and understands this Waiver and Release and signs this Waiver and Release at Participant's own free will. Participant acknowledges that LD ad KM are relying upon the execution of this document in allowing Participant to participate in Events.
